Meu Problema

My MacBook Pro is pretty old, and I got it second-hand, so it's been through a lot. The left fan started to buzz every once in a while, not really a big deal. But, one day it just started screaming super loud and wouldn't stop.

Minha Solução

The repair went really well. While I had the case apart I also took the t . . .

Meu Problema

The Left Fan was still working, but making very scary noises as it heated up.

Minha Solução

I waited too long to order a new fan. In fact I first ordered the wrong one, and Ifixit very graciously allowed me to return it, but by the time the right fan arrived, I may have "cooked" my hard drive. I changed the hard d . . .

Meu Problema

Noisy fans and very slow performance, couldn't justify replacing my old A1211 15" MBP for the sake of a few components. So got the fans from yourselves - you were cheaper than sourcing them in the UK. I sourced a SSD in the UK (Samsung 850 Pro 256GB) I know a little extreme but it has a 10 year warr . . .

Meu Problema

One of the two fans was bad and making a grinding noise

Minha Solução

The repair was easy and the part provided was excellent.

Meu Conselho

This was a straight forward repair. Just remove the top and replace the fans. I actually used the instructions from ifixit to do the work.

Meu Problema

My fan had been making an intermittent whirring noise - like an engine was inside (disturbing co-workers and probably impairing my machine's ability to cool).

Minha Solução

Repair went fine - I missed a couple of screws and had trouble getting the cover off (my mistake), but retraced steps. Laptop works fine now, . . .

Meu Problema

The fans were slowly dying over time and I was ignoring the issue. It wasn't until the fan completely cut out in the system started watchdogging from the machine overheating when I decided that I needed to really get the system repaired so I can get my work done.

Minha Solução

Pulled the old fans out put the new f . . .

Meu Problema

The MacBook Pro was making a lot of noise, seeming to be full of bees! Thankfully, it was merely the fan dying.

Minha Solução

The repair followed the guide in detail. Sadly, I had grabbed the wrong guide. I was able to work backwards to fix the improper steps and then was able to follow the correct steps. The fan . . .

Meu Problema

My original MacBook Pro's left fan bit the dust and started making a racket a couple of years ago. I decided at the time to save a few bucks and get a used fan from a different company. The replacement never "failed" per se, but it was never really quiet, either. It started getting slightly louder, . . .

Meu Problema

Like many owners of the 2007-2008 generation of MacBook Pros, it only took a couple years before the left fan became increasingly loud. After 5 years, it was deafeningly loud. I couldn't take it any more.

Minha Solução

Smoothly for the most part. The guide I used wasn't specific in parts that needed to be specific . . .
