In this next step, the keyboard is still attached to the logic board via a flat cable. Be careful not to tear the cable or damage the connector by removing the keyboard too quickly or too abruptly or pulling it too far away from the laptop.
Lift the keyboard away from the laptop, starting from the top end which is nearest to the screen.
