[title] Starting the repair: Removing the old capacitors
[* icon_caution] Do not touch the soldering iron while removing the old caps! If you do not have something like Helping Hands, hold the board at an angle.
[* icon_reminder] When one or two capacitors fail, the rest are likely to fail. For this reason, it is best to replace them as a set at once.
[* icon_reminder] If you do not know how to solder, refer to this guide: [guide|750]
[* black] Take the board out to a place you can solder the new caps on. To remove the capacitors and heat one leg up while the solder is melted. Do thisLift the leg up once the solder is melted. This should be done for both sides of all of the capacitorseach capacitor you are replacing.
[* black] With the capacitors removed from the power supply board, take your desoldering braid and clean the old solder up. The desoldering braid needs to be lifted with the soldering iron or it will stick to the board.
