-[* black] Choose the new strings: Select a set of strings that are appropriate for your guitar and playing style. Check the packaging to ensure that they are the correct gauge for your guitar.
-[* black] Attach the new strings: Starting with the thinnest string, thread the end of the string through the bridge and up through the appropriate tuning peg. Make sure the string is seated correctly in the nut and the bridge.
-[* black] Wind the string: Use a string winder to tighten the string by turning the tuning peg clockwise. Make sure the string winds neatly and evenly around the peg, and that there are no kinks or slack spots.
-[* black] Tune the string: Use a chromatic tuner to tune the string to the correct pitch. Repeat this process for each string, working from the thinnest to the thickest. Stretch the strings: Once all the strings are in place and tuned, use your fingers to gently pull on each string away from the fretboard.
-[* black] Tune again: After stretching the strings, tune them once again using the chromatic tuner. Repeat this process until all the strings are holding their tune. Cut the excess string: Use wire cutters to trim any excess string from the tuning pegs, being careful not to scratch the guitar.
+[* black] Thread your new strings through the back of the guitar, up to the tuning pegs, and tighten the strings.
+[* black] Use the wire cutters to trim excess string from the ends.
