[* black] Once your machine is in a state where data is accessible, there are a few ways to retrieve it that aren’t just dragging and dropping every file or folder you want onto another storage medium.
[* black] If you want to transfer entire user accounts, apps, settings and all Migration Assistant is Apple’s tool for doing this.
+[* black] Open Applications in Finder and locate Migration Assistant in the Utilities folder. It will prompt to close all open programs
+[* black] Once Migration Assistant is open, click through the prompts using the relevant options.
+[* black] Select transferring to this Mac from another Mac, Time Machine backup or from a startup disk to move data from drives connected via Target Disk Mode, the Customer Data Migration tool, or a removable disk in an enclosure.
