[* black] Grab an allen wrench that will fit into the truss rod. Also make sure to detune your guitar, to lessen any tension on the neck. This will prevent your strings from snapping during this process.
[* black] If your neck had a bow in it, you'll want to decrease the bow in the neck by tightening the truss rod. You do this by turning your allen wrench clockwise. If your neck has a hump to it, decrease that hump by loosening the truss rod by turning the allen wrench counterclockwise.
