Introduction
If your HP B210a has a clogged printhead, this guide can be used to try and clear the clog. There While there are no guarantees the printerthis will work again, butfix the problem so you can be used to recoveruse the printer whenagain, this may work if nothing else fixed it. Whilefixes the success rate is very good, itproblem. [ … ] '''WARNING: This fix depends on the printhead being recoverable, so this does not work to fix the problem 100% of the time. This can also damage the printhead if it has predisposed damage that developed prior to cleaning. If the printhead does not survive or come clean, my strong recommendation is to replace the entire printer due to the cost of the printhead and the risk the printer is actually bad.''' [ … ] In some cases, this can damage a printhead that's already physically damaged. If your printhead has physical defects, it does not make sense to replace the printhead as it is often cheaper to buy a new printer. == Guide Notes == * This guide is primarily made for the HP Photosmart Plus B210a, but is universal among all printers that use the 564 ink cartridge. '''IMPORTANT: Models with non removable printheads require special attention to preserve the calibration. These models may not work again if this is lost and SETUP cartridges are expected.''' * If I have not tested the printer you are having problems against my calibration preservation procedure, I do not guarantee that you will be able to preserve it. It generally doesn't hurt to try on models with removable printheads, but I can't guarantee it will work unless I have tested it personally. == Printhead Bypass model list == '''Validated models (known to work)''' * Photosmart C6380 * Photosmart Premium C309g * Photosmart Plus B209a * Photosmart Plus B210a '''Permanent printhead''' * Photosmart 6520 (MAY REQUIRE SETUP CARTRIDGES TO RECONFIGURE THE PRINTER)

Conclusion
If your printer is working as well as it used to, then the problem was simply caused by a difficult clog that needed manual intervention to fix. However, if your printer is not working right after letting the parts dry for a little longer, then it is very likely that the printhead was already failing and this procedure damaged it to the extent it no longer works. If this is the case replace the entire printer.
