Introdução

This guide will teach you how to replace the battery of the Toshiba Portege Z835-P330.

  1. Remove the thirteen 1.4mm screws on back of device using a Phillips #2 screwdriver.

  2. Locate hidden screw found in the middle of back hardcover.
    • Locate hidden screw found in the middle of back hardcover.

    • Found under rubber covering shown in picture.

    • Remove the single Torx Security screw using a TR7 screwdriver.

  4. Peel off hardcover to expose interior of device.
    • Peel off hardcover to expose interior of device.

    • Force may be required but hardcover should detach smoothly.

  5. Remove the six 1 mm screws using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
    • Remove the six 1 mm screws using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

  6. Remove the white plug connected to the battery by gently pulling it out of the socket.

    • Plug should easily detach without force.

  7. Lift battery up by its sides, and it should easily come off.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

These steps also work for the Z935-P300. NOTE: the center screw in step two is a Torx Security TR7.

Will it lose it’s memory when the power and battery are disconnected? Do I need to back it up before I do this? My battery is so dead that the laptop shuts down after just a few minutes without the ac cord plugged in.
