    • Pry the front panel downwards with the spudger while continuing to pull the small suction cup upwards.

    • Pry the plastic motherboard shield open by placing the spudger under the shield and running it along the edges.

Does this fix change the waterproof efficiency?

Hello atilasilva,

I guess so. Since you have to either replace the complete back cover or at least the glue line around the back cover I think the phone will not be completely waterproof again. It still may be solid splash proof.

I am about to follow your procedures to do a battery replacement. I have read your instructions, one question is if any need to use some glues to fix the back panel of the Sony Phone? From your instruction you did not mention the use of any glue at all, I am a bit concerned because at the moment my Sony phone both front and back panes are already loosen. I was told this is due to the old battery expanding.
