If you are experiencing trouble with your optical drive, you may need to use this guide in order to replace it. This is a beginner level process. There is no background knowledge or special requirements you need in order to successfully replace your optical drive.

    • Remove the first of two screws located at the marker in the photo.

    • Remove the second of the two screws located at the marker in the photo.

    • Grab and slide out the tray from the side of the laptop after both screws have been removed.

    • Slide in new CD drive and repeat steps 2 and 1 in reverse to screw the new drive down.
