Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX1 LCD Screen Replacement

Replacement of this component will involve the disassembly of the screen's enclosure and careful disconnection of its cable.

    • Extend the LCD screen away from the camera to access the screws on the back of its housing.

    • Unscrew the three #00 2.0 mm Phillips screws on the back of the casing.

    • Place the camera with the lens down.

    • Tilt the screen upwards to see the screw on the bottom of the housing.

    • Unscrew this #00 4.0 mm Phillips screw.

    • Pry the casing apart using your plastic opening tool. Begin by prying at the hole where you removed the screw and continue along the seam.

    • Lift the transparent section of the plastic housing off.

    • Lift the rubber screen bumper off of the screen.

    • Pull up on the screen to reveal the data attachment cable.

    • Carefully pull the LCD screen away from enclosure to remove the cable and screen completely.
