This guide will help you disassemble the Olympus Stylus 1030 SW. You’ll need to follow these steps in order to perform most of the replacement guides for this product. The tools you’ll need to complete this guide are listed below.

  1. Before disassembling, be sure to remove the SD card and the battery from the camera.

  9. Open the battery compartment cover. Use the #PH00 screwdriver to unscrew the screw in the battery compartment. Use the #PH00 screwdriver to unscrew the screw in the battery compartment.

  10. On the front of the camera, unscrew the two screws shown. Gently pull on the side till the camera is separated from the back panel. The shutter and power button can now be removed.

  11. Use the #PH00 screwdriver to unscrew the four screws on the front of the camera. Unscrew the shutter using the #PH00 head. Unscrew the shutter using the #PH00 head.

    • Unscrew the shutter using the #PH00 head.

  12. Release the top holding using a spudger. The front and back of the camera can slowly be separated, exposing the electrical ribbons.
