Camera connector needs to be disconnected before removing back panel. Remove sim card shaped rubber panel first, then lift off metal rectangular connector below it.

Unhook the twisted red and black wire from under the black plastic pieces that are holding it down with a pair of tweezers. Disconnect the wire.

  • Disconnect the wire.

  • Lift the battery out.

  • The battery is glued down so you will have to use some force to pull it out.

  • Be careful not to pull it too hard it could bend the battery.

Use the tweezers pull up on the three corners of the motherboard until it comes out. Use the tweezers pull up on the three corners of the motherboard until it comes out.

Flip motherboard over to access the rear camera.

  • Peel up orange tape and remove to access the top of rear camera motherboard clamp.

  • Flip up the black tab on the ZIF connector to detach the rear camera.
