  1. IBM ThinkPad T42 Optical Drive Replacement, Screw Removal: passo 1, imagem 1 %32

    • Remove the single screw holding the optical drive on the underside of the laptop

  3. IBM ThinkPad T42 Optical Drive Replacement, Unlock Switch: passo 2, imagem 1 %32

    • Push the small slider to unlock position, a tab will automatically pop out.

  4. IBM ThinkPad T42 Optical Drive Replacement, Drive Removal: passo 3, imagem 1 %32

    • Pull the tab to dislodge the optical drive, then carefully pull the drive out.
