Not a good idea. Oil will &&^& it up dah.
DeOxit (contact cleaner designed specifically for potentiometers) is what most people are recommending, not WD40 or dielectric grease..
Preferably DeOxit Gold, or at least not their (Hosa's) Fader Lube.
Yes, use DeOxit or some similar contact cleaner
That knob became scratchy after some use. Cramolin contaclean helped, as always. Thanks for the teardown guide.
