    • The distance you see in the blue circle is not recommended to be more then 2mm.

    • Cut the card into many small parts as seen on the photo.

    • It is recommended to have a box/tin to prevent the parts to fly anywhere.

You didn't mention how to destroy the chip. You need to destroy the chip also. Otherwise this method is very good (excellent if it wasn't a chip card.)
