The techniques covered in this guide will enable you to maintain and also repair ratchets that are stuck, frozen, or neglected. This guide covers the disassembly, lubrication, and reassembly process of a Craftsman 43175 ratchet, but can be used as reference for many other round head ratchets as the designs are all very similar.

    • Remove the direction selector dial by turning it counterclockwise with a T15 screwdriver.
