Propagating plants can also be used to multiply plants, share with others, or revive a dying plant. You don't need any expensive gardening tools or a green thumb to keep your plants from dying. Using scissors or shears cut the plant below a node.
Node: a point where a leaf or branch emerges.

Remove the bottom leaves and cut the plant diagonally.
Cutting the plant in a diagonal will increase surface area and allow for better water consumption.
