Thanks…..

can you share where the filter is located on the

Samsung model DC68-03049A-01.

ampekarek - Responder

Hi! I apologize for the late reply, but I believe the filter for this model would be located inside the spin basket probably at the back. Here is the link to the model description and location of the filter https://www.manualslib.com/manual/147786.... Hope this helps!

It worked! Thank you!

I can not get the cap off the drain hose. Any suggestions. I have tried twisting and pulling and it just won't come off

Christine Watkins - Responder

Hello, this might be due to the hose being severely blocked, try using pliers to twist and open it, hope this helps!

Ishmeet Cheema -

You should push in and twist counter clock wise

So I try getting the filter out even with the cloth it just doesn’t wanna come out any advice help

My best advice would be to try and use a screwdriver to try and pull the filter out, if that does not work try using pliers. The last resort would be to try and call someone from the service center for repair, most likely there is something stuck inside the filter.

Ishmeet Cheema -

Two things:

First: when I went through the process and drain the water from the hose until it stopped, following the directions, I inserted the plug back into the hose and return the hose to its original position. After which I removed the pump filter and had probably 1/3 of a cup of water leak from under my washing machine once I remove the filter.

I cleaned up that water and found a small rusty metal nut 🔩, only the outside piece inside of the filter cup, also leaving a rust stain on the base of the hole after removing the filter cup, and I have no idea where that screw came from or what it’s for, but I saved it.

I clean the rust stains off the filter cup, and the inside of the cup housing, went to my machine to replace the filter cup, and another third of a cup of water was on my floor.

When the instructions say to replace the plug into the hose and turn the filter cup to the left, should I open the hose again and attempt to drain whatever liquid comes from turning the filter clockwise the first time?

My machine still has a musty smell, even after I cleaned it. What else should I be looking for?

Xandra D - Responder

It was very difficult to remove the filter but I finally was able to get it out. I cleaned it & replaced it but the next time I ran the machine, water leaked out all over the laundry room floor. Is there something more I should do?

Nancy Contreras - Responder

Can someone please help me. My washer is not cutting on nor is it draining. Anyone?☺️

I can’t get the filter off, I pushed in and turning it counter clockwise and it just keeps turning and clicking

rodger stallworth - Responder

Rodger, mine is an LG, but they look identical, and what you describe is the same. In my case, and it sounds also here, the outer screw in portion isn't fixed to the filter, but rotates. (The filter itself is fixed in a particular orientation by an asymmetric template inside the machine.) Unscrewing the thing doesn't necessarily release it, but merely allows you to remove it. If the filter has some threads or hairs woven through it, as was the case in mine, possibly there is resistance that's keeping the filter fixed in place and which requires some persuasion to leave the mother ship.

Andrew Simpson -

Thank you! We have an LG machine, but the design is close to identical. What was a revelation to me was that there is a filter, and that it needs to be cleaned regularly. Of course I would have known that had I read the manual, but I'm a man. The filter wasn't blocked, but the slime that both drained out and had accumulated on the filter was foul.
