    • Insert the Flat head screwdriver into the side of the phone and pry up the back plate.

    • I used two flatheads and used one to hold the section i had pryed up until i could wedge the rest out.

    • You do have to be careful with this step not to use too much force on the back plate, however it held up pretty well on mine.

    • Once you have all the sides pryed loose the back plate should just pop right off!

Not so fun fact: DO NOT PULL ON THE VIBRATOR NEXT TO THE HEADPHONE JACK!

It's not taped. It is adhered using an adhesive that will give with heat. Your hair dryer is your friend...too bad I did not know that first

My phone was in a polyethelene plastic grocery bag with a 32 oz can of Arizona Iced Sweet Tea. The can had somehow burst inside the bag and the phone was found sometime later completely submerged in the bag filled full of sticky sugar infused beverage! I immediately removed the back cover of the phone and pulled the battery. Amazingly, the battery comparment was remarkable fairly dry but the charging jack and headphone jack had completly filled with fluid.

I DISSAMBLED THE PHONE AND RINSED IN ANHYDROUS ISOPOPYL ALCHOL. ALL PARTS WERE THEN PLACED INTO A METAL COFFEE CAN FILLED WITH PREHEATED SILICA GEL DESSICANT @ 100°F. WHERE THE PARTS WERE ALLOWED TO DEHYDRATE FOR 12 HOURS.

I REASSEMBLED THE PHONE.

After reassembly the phone has been restored to 98% functionality. Every function including various sensors GPS ...EVERYTHING FUNCTIONS NORMALLY EXCEPT.... I HAVE NO MICROPHONE AUDIO!

I can place and recieve calls but nobody can hear me speak. I have dissasembled an reassmbled several time to make sure all connectors have seated properly and have retensioned the plated pressure contact pads inside the outer back frame. I think the contactson the lower bottom are what contact a conductive pad that is where the condenser mic resides? Im not sure where the mic is located they make these thingbs smaller each day! PLEASE HELP AS I NEED PHONE FOR EXPECTED EMPLOYMENT CALL !! I do have bluetooth but its crappy .
