Acer Aspire ES1-711-P1UV Fan Replacement

This replacement guide will teach the reader the proper way to remove the fan from their Acer Aspire ES1-711-P1UV. If the laptop is consistently getting too hot on the bottom or is making loud sounds that resemble that of a fan, the fan may need to be replaced. Passo 1 Battery

Place the laptop face down on a flat, clean surface.
Remove all twenty-seven 7 mm screws on the back cover of the laptop with a Phillips #0 screwdriver. Screws are circled in red on the diagram.

Passo 2

Use the iFixit opening tool to pry open the four corners of the back cover of the laptop. You may need to use your hands to fully remove the cover.
Be sure to evenly apply pressure when removing the back cover.

Remove the two 5 mm screws located on either side of the battery.

Disconnect the colored bundled cable connectors from the motherboard. To do this, pull on the wires to disconnect the cable and remove the battery.

Passo 5 Fan

Locate and remove the 5 mm screw using the Phillips #0 screwdriver.
Unscrew the four 5mm screws still holding down the fan.
The four 5mm screws in the second part of this step cannot be fully removed from the fan. Loosen them and continue on to Step 6.
