It can even turn off if your laptop is running too hot. However it is a good thing that the fan is an easy fix to help with the cooling system. Ensure that the laptop is turned off for a couple minutes or more before to let it cool off so you can open it up and replace the fan.

    • Remove the eleven 7 mm Phillips screws that secure the lower case.

    • Insert an opening tool into the seam between the lower case and chassis.

    • Pry along the perimeter until the lower case releases.

    • Lift off the lower case.

    • Use tweezers to remove the black tape that secures the fan cable.

    • Remove both of the 4mm Phillips screws that secure the fan.

    • Use tweezers to grip the white fan connector, then pull the connector directly out of its motherboard socket.

    • Lift the fan up and out of the chassis.
