How to attach (solder) Bent inside frame back to case

Hi,

when opening up my macbook pro i stupidly did not see the two upper screws by the latch connecting the upper case edging to the bottom by two screws. trying to take off the upper case i bent the metal frame edging. The upper case frame is now bent to out of shape and the (soldered) points (dots) connecting the frame to the case have been released.

can anyone help!

how can i reattach the metal edging frame back to the case?

here is a picture of the metal frame:

(the edging at the front where the clips are and the front two screw holes are, is where it has come away and bent.)

ive tried using some glue to reattach but it has'nt worked so well, ive managed to get the case back on and attach the screws, but the case is still bent upwards out of shape and the laptop wont close...

help!

thank you!

Solução escolhida

It's not solder it's a mig weld... try using an epoxy or liquid metal adhesive.

thanks for your reply,

because the frame is bent out of place i cant keep the frame held down to wait for the adhesive to dry, or is it instant drying? thanks!

You can squeeze it together with some crips bag clips or small spring loaded clamps.

Try to get Extreme 310 Adhesive. This will solve your problem like a charm. Buy the smallest size possible to save bucks since you need just a tinny drop to get your job done. You will have instruction manual provided. If not, let me know after you get that.
