Hello, I recently acquired some old wiis and a corroded wii remote. I opened up the wii remote and did a complete clean of the entire board and battery terminals. Everything seems to be fine with the rest of the remote but the middle three buttons have no functionality. Any insight into a possible fix would be amazing.

Yeah, most likely something on the motherboard and it won’t be an easy fix…
Not sure which component failed there… you can try replacing one button and see if that will do something, but I doubt it. The corrosion must have damaged something on the board.

Well I guess I'll just be grateful that it turns on it all and has part functionality, I separated the yellow membrane from the actual button and cleaned it as well but to no avail. I have no soldering skills so replacing a button is currently out of reach, but thank you for the suggestion.
