it sends me thur all the step even said it was finished downloading but when i try to run it tells me i need to load the program. i have a g4 power pc mac

Go under the Apple in the upper left hand corner to "about this mac". Please tell us what processor you have and how much Memory you have. Hit the more info button and probably on the second line up from the bottom is your serial number, get the last three figures of the serial number. Next click on the hard drive icon once, go under file to get info and let us know how big your hard drive is and how much free space you have. Boot up from your original system installation disk or retail version of 10.5, "C" key. Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities > Disk Utility. Select your hard drive icon in the left hand column and see if you can repair the hard drive, then repair the permissions.

What are you trying to load from? Which G4? Please give us the last three figures of your serial number.

osx 10.5 #170850822 its a powerbook g4 or powerbook pc i'm trying to download from the itunes site.
