I have 3 of these controllers along with the 2 six-axis only that shipped with the system when purchased new but none of them will detect the six axis motion. They have been sitting unused for several years and I have new batteries on order for them. The buttons do work but I can't get any of them to respond to motion or calibrate the motion control.

Are those controllers original Sony's?

Yes, these are all original Sony. The one sixaxis was part of the package with console and the 2nd was bought in the store with it at the same time. I think Sony released the DualShock 3 a couple months later and we purchased 3 of them. This unit has sat in the basement for a bunch of years and i was just digging it out to check it out and use it again.
Alright. What you can try is to replace the button circuit membrane. They are known to fail... But as long as the buttons are working, it should be fine. Kinda weird issue going on. With which game do you have issues? Or all of them?
