Yeah, that can be really annoying. If your hard drive makes a sound but doesn’t show up on your computer, try these simple things:
- Plug it into a different USB port
- Try using another cable
- Check if it shows up in Disk Management (on Windows)
If it still doesn’t show, don’t worry—sometimes it’s just a software issue. You can try data recovery tools to scan the drive and get your files back. Just be sure not to format the drive unless you’ve recovered what you need!

i have same issue, even bios and Disk Management (on Windows) not showing the hdd. and it has sound like clang or tick

If the drive isn't showing up at all, recovery software like Remo probably won't help until the hardware issue is fixed. You can still try recovery tools from Recuva or Remo Software if the drive gets detected, but if it keeps beeping, stop using it to avoid making the problem worse.
