How can I fix my wii remote turning off when Nunchuck is connected?
when Nunchuck is connected wii remote turns off and you can hear a slight tick as if power is trying to go through.

Hi!
Most likely caused by a bad "Nunchuck" port. Please check the port, it's possible that there is corrosion inside.
If that is the case, clean the port with isopropyl alcohol and dry it. Test again, if is still is failing, then you do need to replace the port.
Be aware that it requires soldering and that it's hard to find the correct part.
You might need to buy a broken (donor) motherboard and get the part from there.
Not sure if it is worth the trouble, best thing to do is to buy a new one if this is the case.
