HTC Vive Wireless error 10001.4128 and identifying SMD coax connector
Hey all, recently I got a Vive Pro with the Wireless Adapter system second hand, in fully working condition according to the seller. However, after installing the WiGig card into my system and connecting the wireless link box (antenna) to its SMA connector the Vive Wireless software gives me a "Wireless link box error", and the main window shows error code "Not ready (10001.4128)". After extensive troubleshooting* by myself, someone from a VR community, and HTC support it still gives the same error. My current theory is a hardware problem with the short cable connecting the card to the SMA connector on the PCI bracket (see photo) as this bracket was removed during transport. HTC support was not willing to give me the specifications for this part and redirected me to this forum instead.
Does anyone here know the connector and other specifications of this part of the WiGig PCIe card? Some dimensions: male O.D. is 1.4mm, female height 1.0mm, coax diameter 1.1mm. My current guess is the MHF3 or 5 connector.
*Troubleshooting included reseating the SMA cable, reseating the card, reinstalling the Wireless software including drivers, and even using a fresh install of Windows 10 21h2 which was recommended as known working by the community member.
My system specs are: R7 5700X3D, Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite, 4x8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4-3200, EVGA RTX 2070, Windows 10 22h2 b19045.5371, chipset and GPU drivers latest as of 28-01-2025
Esta é uma boa pergunta?
I have now confirmed it is either the card or that coax that is the issue by replacing the entire card, it now works with the same wireless link box. I'd still like to fix the original card though, so replies are still very welcome.
