device only charges to 1/2%, when not charging it dies in 3 seconds

my iphone 6 plus used to work smoothly, but after my mom brought it to work, the phone somehow only takes in 1 - 2% charge, not increasing, AND the touch id somehow "magically" disabled itself.

I replaced the battery like six months ago with an ifixit battery kit (YOU SHOULD BUY A KIT) for around 25$ and it worked fine before my mom bought it with her.

The battery is probably faulty, and it started acting up at work because of coincidence. Buy a new one or contact iFixit.

Hi, there’s 3 potential areas of fault with Touch ID on your 6s Plus.

If the home button isn’t functioning any longer then you lose access to Touch ID.

If you haven’t seated the flex for the button correctly/fully then you won’t have Touch ID.

If you have damaged the flex cable you won’t have Touch ID.

Touch ID can be restored, but only by Apple or certified repairer with the equipment to read the encoding off the phone and write the information to a new button flex.

But you probably won’t like the cost.

You can replace the button and get home button function yourself, but you still won’t have Touch ID.

the home button has no physical damage after inspection, and the rubber gasket was never replaced before

Can you send me the link to the equipment to read the encoding off the phone and write the information to a new button flex?

Sorry, like I said you won’t get the tool, you have to take it to Apple or an Apple certified repair shop to replace and restore Touch ID.
