Ice dispenser door (flap) not opening.

It could be a faulty duct cap (aka ice chute door) (LG part # MBL65039901) or duct cap motor (LG part # EAU59551204).
Here's the service manual for the model series that may help.
Go to p.74 to view the ice maker troubleshooting steps to see if you can isolate what the problem is.
On p.56 and p.12 it shows how to test and replace the duct cap motor if it is the problem.
If either part is faulty and needs to be replaced, search online for the appropriate part number only (shown above) to find suppliers that suit you best.

Thanks so much for the service manual and thoughts. The problem was indeed the chute door motor (Replacement part # LG EAU59551204), which I believe others may describe as a solenoid. I purchased a new motor from Amazon for only $21. For reference, please note the original motor part number ended in a "7" instead of the current replacement number ending in a "4".
