Is the connector size & model for the JBL Boombox 1 Charger 5.5*2.5mm?

Regarding my JBL Boombox 1 charger cable connector type and its charging issues, I'm planning to cut and replace it by resoldering. Is the connector type for the charger 5.5*2.5 mm model? Additionally, should I consider specific electrical specifications to prevent any potential damage during the replacement process?
