It is stuck on the white screen with the apple?
How do I reboot it or get it past the white screen with apple and turning white circle?

First try booting in Safe mode by holding down the Shift key. If that works go to Applications - Utilities - Disk Utility and verify your disk. Repair if necessary. If this doesn't work:
Boot from your installation disk in the CD drive, Wait till the second of third page till the pull down menu appears then go to Utilities - Disk Utility and verify your disk. Repair if necessary.
If this fails reinstall the system. Still can't see the drive? ome back and we'll tell you how to replace your drive.

Well a few troubleshooting steps from here would be the following
Safe Boot-hold down the shift key while booting, key must be held down till the gear shows up under the apple
Boot to the Install DvD and run repair disk (holding C down during boot)
-this is done in the utilities menu through disk utility
Reset the PRAM
-hold Command, Option, P and R during the boot process
As for rebooting the only way to do it from that screen is holding the power button till the unit powers off.

It doesn't go to the safe mode when I press the shift key. Is there any other way?
