problem of continuous fan
Hi;
I'm sending this message from my mac mini core duo, I have the same problem of continuous fan; it happened without any recent intervention on the mini; last time it was opened was years ago.
I managed to disconnect the fan with the help of ifixit manual, because the volume is so heavy that I can't work…
I tried to disconnect and reconnect the sensor too, but no change; I get rid of the superdrive and cleaned everything I could with an air bomb, but the fan still works at full power.
Any idea of what could be wrong here ?
Thanks for your help !

@machead : I don't understand…Do you want me to start a new topic instead of answering to this one ?
@machead : The HD is OK, according to Hardware Monitor the Temp of Hard Disk Sensor does not rise up to 30 °C; so there is a problem elsewhere…

Oliver - Yes I'm saying as clearly as I could a Question does not belong in this space. A Comment to the old Question would be ok, however a new Question would get moved to the top of the Queue and possibly get more immediate help.

You need cooling of fans - can cook the components without it. Dry Thermal Paste could have contributed to the overheating. . . There's a tip/guide about replacing thermal paste.
