PS3 Slim - No Power

So a customer brought in his PS3, which shows no signs of life at all. There was some sort of power surge that knocked out his TV as well. Anyway, I tried replacing the power supply, still nothing. Then I tried his PSU in another console, and surprisingly it worked.

So I figure it has to be the motherboard. I can get a motherboard + Blu-Ray controller board for about $110 off of eBay, but I figured I'd post and get a second opinion first.
