Boot loop on UN50TU8200FXZA; where do I buy a new ribbon cable?

Hello!

I just picked up a a Samsung UN50TU8200FXZA and would like to fix it. I figure out that out that the LCD boards's golden ribbon cable may need to be replaced I was able to retrace the problem to the LCD board after following some directions online for diagnosing the infamous boot loop issue on these TV's. I have been searching for the part online but I can't really find anything, anybody know where or how I can replace this part? SFPCX495G-002 is the part number. Thank you.

P.s. are there is there anyway these ribbon cables can be interchangeable with another part that also fits?

I was able to fix boot loop with the tape trick found all over YouTube; however, the TV has a slightly noticeable horizontal line running through it. If I replace the ribbon cable, would it fix this line and boot loop issue, or is this something that happen particularly on the board itself?

Hi, I unfortunately did not find a replacement and actually ended up recycling the TV as the issue popped up again even after taping.

@crod10683 The "tape over some of the contacts" is a way to disconnect some of the data lines going to/from the cable. It does not indicate a bad ribbon cable, but rather an issue with (usually) the chips embedded in the panel.

If you want to buy another ribbon cable, you can do so here.

Thank you for this! I found the cable on mercado libre but they don't ship to the u.s. you found this website which is so much more feasible for me to give it a try. I can't believe this issue is so %#*@ common that Samsung hasnt recieved a class action lawsuit.

@crod10683 it'll be the driver board not the cable. You already know that there are issues with those boards since you had to do a "tape-off" indicating either bad components or bad traces on those boards. The are considered part of the LCD panel and thus schematics etc. will most likely not be available. If you do want to search for those, use the numbers on the boards and not the TV model number.

So I'm in the same boat as you. Found this thread by searching for the cable. Were you able to fix it by changing it?

I track down that a IC flash reprogram needs to be done to fix that the frequent malfunction that came with this TV. Any chance anyone knows of a tutorial on doing that?
