Is it possible to disassemble the screen?

Hi, I have an A2237 and the plugs to the left and right of the display connector, which I believe to be for the screen are damaged and also the board that it connects to. Is any of that repairable? I'm assuming the screen is still good and it's seems a waste if I can change the cables and the board.

The problem you face is finding a replacement cable. It is possible to replace the connector on the ribbon as well as the logic board.

But before you go down that path, are you sure there is no other damage?

It does appear there is some liquid damage, what happened?

Hi, I don't know what happened. I bought the laptop to repair as the screen was not cracked. It just said that it does not turn on so I investigated it and found these issues. Are the ribbons easily replaceable or are they soldered in behind the screen? I have another a2337 with a cracked screen so could take parts from there but I can't see any info on the disassembly of the screen and boards. Thanks for your help.

@arifsyed6434 - it’s not easy! Even I won’t do it as it’s such a high failure. If the ribbon cable it’s self is good then de-soldering the connector is what I would do. But you need the correct tools to de-solder the connector using a hot air system. The connector is a standard part and you can also replace the logic board one as well.
