When i try to enter password to login. I get a message
Unable to log in to the user account " " at this time.
Then when i enter the password again it asks for the master password?
I have only one password that i know of. I never changed it.

Boot up from your system installation disk. Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities > change password and clear out both passwords. Write down the user name as it may not appear on reboot.

will i lose everthing if i do this.
I was able to setup a new user account but still can't switch to my old one. Or change pass from system prefs. i have stuff on old desktop that i don't wanna lose.
You lose nothing by clearing the password.
I did remove the passwords and ran disk utility. while booting from a OSX 10.4 Tiger install disk I found holding - c. That didn't work. Then I went back and booted from OSX 10.4 install again this time reinstalling under achchival and install. or something. I seems to start to log in but its just a blank blue screen. I can still use that new account. But my old one seems blank.
Any other suggestions i'm still unable to access- the original user account. I lost all my design files and music. there has to be a way to access it.
Did you use a gray disk with a system for another machine? See if you can back up to an external drive first by dragging and dropping your user account. When you "that didn't work", just what didn't work?

now if i can find the CD, i have every CD except that one. i have older power mac G4 tower Cds , I dont' think they will work. Now I also have a Macbook Pro 17. But i like to use the old G4 for internet and music. Are there any sites to order cheap CDs from . I don't know i might have lost it , been looking for days.

From your new account backup the old user folder first so you don't lose anything. Try using SetupAssistant or Migration Assistant to move ONLY YOUR FILES into the new account. (Don't worry about Applications and Network settings just yet.)
