lcd is black

The seller apparently changed the lcd as far as I know.

Therefore I tried to go through the front panel teardown and search for visible broken parts shown in this teardown.

The first time I connected the device to iTunes it wasn't recognized.

After restoring in DFU mode everything seems to be fine, except the lcd is black.

Any hints how to find broken parts? Should I use a multimeter?
