One of the battery cell is swollen

Only one of the cells is very swollen, only one, is it possible to remove just that cell or do I have to replace the entire component?

Once a battery gases (one or more cells) its the end of the battery. Basically there is a short between the anode and cathode of the battery. It might be short lived but charging the battery will likely cause the short to occur again! The next time it could be worse than just a ballooned cell! You don't want it to go critical causing a lithium fire.

No, change all battery. If one cell is swollen that means others could also do that. Also cells are connected via ribbons so trying to remove it you will short it. I had HP laptop with swollen cells and they was punctured with needle, technically nothing happened but for your own safety DON'T do this

What about removing the battery and waiting a few days? Once I had a swollen iPhone battery that shrunk in a few days after replacement.
