Television requires retuning when switching HDMI inputs

I've got a Blaupunkt TV, connected to a BT YouView Box on HDMI 3 and to a PS4 on HDMI 2.

Sometimes (but not always) when I change back from PS4 to my BT TV, a number of channels are missing, or pixelated, and the TV requires often multiple retunes, and/or for the hdmi cables and/or aerial cable to be jostled.

1) Can anyone explain how/why this could be happening?
2) Any suggestions for avoiding this problem?

Thanks so much!

Did you try factory resetting BT YouView to see if this corrects intermittent problems?

when you change sources on a tv , especially with a PS4 it connects via HDMI which uses Sony's Anynet device feature in the PS4,

turning the source too and fro on HDMI can cause issues, as the sony anynet device inbuilt feature has some 9 volt power coming through that HDMI to your TV, happens with Sharp Aquos, and samsung Tv's also.

The Sony Ps4 Anynet device feature suppose to improve data transfer and give you a better sharper 1920p x 1080p picture and fluent gaming experience, but it can be an issue on some Television sets, it can be disabled on a PS4 if you just want it to be a standard HDMI 1080p connection,

when i do it, with my Ps4 i hit the Volume up and down on the remote of the Tv when i change the HDMI source, silly i know but it prevents the Tv from wigging out.

also seems like your Tv is a little sensative, or having an earth issue with a device connected.

gotta ask though, if you've ever connected a HDMI cable with the TV on, the reason i ask is this is it will spike the main program firmware in your Tv set.

if you did, ever in the TV's life , you might want to do a factory reset with everything turned on and connected so it can detect the sources from scratch and wont buzz out changing HDMI sources.

Note though:

never change HDMI cables or connect to ports or connect any USB to the Television while it is turned on,

this will spike your TV's circuit board doing this that will eventually short the whole

circuit and stuff your Tv altogether. just incase.
