How to secure screws on my laptop

Hi guys,

It's been a while since I've been on the forum since I've been busy but it's nice to be back.

An update on some things:

1) The iMac was eventually thrown out as no one wanted it and it was not cost effective to repair it

2) My keyboard (MX keys mini) was broken in transport (The right arrow key mechanism and keycap came off but it still kind of works). Thankfully Logitech were kind enough to send out a replacement :)

3) My Lenovo Yoga S730 (In some countries known as ideapad 730s) has gone through a lot. When I got it back in January, it had a bad battery and so I replaced it. Little did I know that the wifi issue I was seeing also happened to be there when I first got it (Looking through my previous photos showed this). So I've ordered a new wifi card of identical model

It's coming with me to Hawaii in 2 weeks, but I have an issue where 2 screws refuse to stay in their spots. it is the middle edge ones. Anyone have any ideas on how to secure them?

@np_f1_2021 The best way I know of to keep screws in place, is blue Loctite. NB! DO NOT use red Loctite!

The blue is meant to keep it from unscrewing accidentally, but can still be removed easily.

The red is meant for permanent screws. They are possible to remove, but it’s not easy.

You just use a tiny drop on the screw itself (on laptop and phone screws, I usually use a toothpick to place the Loctite on the screw). The drops from the bottle are far to big for those tiny screws

Thanks @geirandersen, however upon a search on amazon there's "medium strength"....the list goes on. Is there any particular one you would recommend. I can attach a screenshot of the amazon.com.au results for "Blue loctite"

@np_f1_2021 I’ve never bought it off Amazon, just in general hardware stores. Here is a link to the product on Loctite’s website

But medium strength sounds about right

Blue Loctite 242 might still be too strong if you ever want to take the screw out again. I think that Loctite 222 or Purple Loctite is more suitable for a laptop.
