Why does my Ps5 controller lose bluetooth con to pc after aprox a 1ft

My Ps5 Controller works fine while wired. But Bluetooth connects to my pc a little slow, but it works. Unless I hold it extremely still and close to my pc it will have a continuous input of the last action on the controller. The PC says it remains connected. And if I move it another foot or turn in my chair the led turns red. I tried it with and without windows Ds4. I ran a troubleshooter for Bluetooth, reinstalled and updated all of my drivers, checked my wireless adapter. I've tried solutions from 7 different sites, none have worked. I can't tell if its a problem with my PC or my controller.
