Clicking noise in a 27" iMac 2012
I have a clicking noise coming from my 27" iMac 2012 A1419 system
- I replaced Power Supply board
- Unplugged Cooler Fan
But noise is still same.
When i start CPU stress test, CPU temperatures go around 90~105 degree, i can hear this noise.
It sounds from Logic Board, i guess.
Update (05/07/2022)
For testing, i unplugged the fan, but noise is same.
I think this noise is not related with Power Supply or Fan or HDD.
I recorded this noise.

After this noise starting , CPU temperature is down to 80 degree.
Is that a throttling noise?
@areeve
In my imac, there is no HDD.
There is only SSD.
Update (05/20/2022)
Finally, i solve this problem.
The problem was heatsink. i replaced the heatsink, and annoying noise and high temperature were disappeared.
I installed the old heatsink in another imac, and there were crackling noise and high temperature.
Thanks.

The sound appears to be more of a slapping sound than a discharge sound. Clearly someone is flapping around. I would look for a scrap of paper or loose tape within the fan. While you stated you disconnected the fan I'm not convinced you had, as I still hear it!

Well you had me stumped! 95~105 ℉ is within the normal range. I wouldn't have expected the coolant boiling would have made such a strange sound. Clearly you have a leak in the heat transfer pipe did you see any holes?
