I've recently installed a new battery, everything seemingly flawless. But upon start up I noticed that the device does not register the battery, checked connections, all good. PRAM reset done, SMC reset done. NOTHING! am I missing something? thanks!

You have a bad battery, contact the seller to get a replacement.
