DS Lite digitizer not working well after replacement

Hello,

Replaced the digitizer, but now the touch screen has issues! A large area at the top left corner of the screen, when touched, thinks it's somewhere at the bottom right corner. While when you touch the bottom right corner, the input is off slightly. Calibration goes on forever!

It could be the digitizer itself, but I've tried it with two digitizers now and same result (although, they were from the same order). Maybe there's dust somewhere messing up the input? Or the adhesive ripped and cut off at places, so that could be causing issues?

While I was replacing the screen, I did tug on the ribbon cable a bit hard with the retention flap down, so maybe I damaged the socket?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Not sure where to go from here.
