Lenovo N580 Milk Damage
Hello there, I have a Lenovo N580 that had milk spilled on it a few years ago. I recently bought some 99% Isopropyl alcohol to clean it. I cleaned the board and it still will not post.
Esta é uma boa pergunta?

TechVid of course you cleaned both sides properly and checked teh board for corrosion. Did you inspect for corroded components? did you also clean all the connectors? Checked in there for corrosion? What motherboard does it have? Do you have the schematic? Have you checked the power rails? What does or does it not do (details; still will not post in not enough)

Sorry for the lack of info, the laptop will not start when the power button is pressed (No Fan spin, no power light). I checked the corroded components and the corrosion was gone after the cleaning. I did clean all connectors. I do not have a schematic. How would I check the power rails? Thanks, TechVid

TechVid you need the schematic. You need to check to see if you even have power to the board. There will be fuses etc. that may have failed. What is the exact model for your motherboard (should be printed on the board NOT your Ideapad number)

maybe even check and see that power is getting into the system. is the battery charging? Was it plugged in to power when the milk spilled on the laptop? Does the power supply have power?

@mixxy1010 i have tested the power cord with a working Toshiba laptop and it is able to charge the laptop.
