Solução escolhida

I'm partial to Samsung SSD's. The current 2.5" drives are very good. To be fair the only issue is going with one of the low end drives which don't have caching RAM which I wouldn't use.

iFixit offers Crucial drives which are also very good MacBook and MacBook Pro (Non-Retina) SSD Upgrade Bundle Then you get all of the needed tools and parts needed to migrate your stuff over to the new drive and here's the guide MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2012 Hard Drive Replacement

Thank you very much Dan. I'm asking the question because iFixit are currently out of the 1TB SSD Upgrade Bundle and I need to replace my drive pronto. I'm not sure what SSD drive they offer in the Bundle, so I'm not sure exactly what to look for elsewhere. PS, I'm horribly ignorant so I've no idea what you mean by 'low end drives'. You don't recommend them, but it would be good to know what they are so as to avoid them.

@billysfan - Where are you on this little Blue Marble?

I'm in France.

@billysfan - Here's one option Samsung SSD 870 QVO 1 TB and you'll need a SATA to USB case to hold your old drive so you can migrate your stuff back over

And lastly you'll need a set of tools which I would get from iFixit as listed in the guide.

Dan, you are a star! In fact my plan is to replace my current hard drive with the SSD and also replace the old battery with a new iFixit one. I've made myself a bootable flashdrive ready to install Mojave onto the new SSD and I have the new battery with the tools to install it which will also be, as far as I understand it, be the exact same tools as would come with the iFixit SSD bundle they've currently sold out of, so I can use them to install the SSD. I don't think I need a SATA to USB case because I only want to reinstall my old iTunes to Mojave's iTunes and I already have that saved on an external hard drive. So now all I need is to locate the Samsung drive you're recommending and an antistatic mat and wristband and I'm good to go. Is there anything else I've forgotten or does my plan make sense?

A SATA drive is needed for this MacBook model. These support SATA 3, so it can use a higher end SSD. A Samsung 870 EVO, Crucial BX500 or MX500 are good options.

Thank you for your response guardian 10 but I requested named make and model ssd 1TB drives rather than the general spec needed.
