After replacing screen iPad 2 3G reboots when you move it

Hi,

I have repaired like 5 or 6 broken glasses of iPad 2 WiFi before this iPad 2 3G (GSM). I never had a problem before it.

Everything went fine until I was preparing to reassembly the device. I turn it on before fixing the new glass to the frame and I realized that it turns off every time I make a small move in the device.

So now it is completely useless because you cant hold it without get another reboot.

I have tried switching the logic board. I put in this iPad 2 3G the logic board of an iPad 2 WiFi and the worked fine. But then when I put back the gsm logic board the same problem shown again.

Anyone have any experience with this kind of problem?

I am going to make more test, but I think it would be great if we share more info about iPad 2 troubles.

i had the same problem, the slighted touch anywhere on the ipad made it turn off! after some searching i found what was causing this. apparently the motherboard screws had to be tightened.

as soon as i pressed down on the board it turned off.

took it back out, refitted and tighter the screws, voila!

works like a charm

UPDATE:

I have found that the problem is because of the antennas located on both sides of the facetime camera. When you press them the iPad just turn off!

well i need help with my screen im trying to find the cheapest place to get a new ipad screen but i dont know where i can get a cheap one from because everywhere i go it cost like £75 or £90 so i dont know what to do with it because everytime i go on it i tap an app and the app wont come on like the keybord that just useless

I too had the problem of my ipad 2 resetting/rebooting when I moved it. When I pulled the screen again I found that I hadn't fully seated the motherboard screws. Tighten and fixed.
