Can I take a A1706 Logic Board out and put in the body of a A1989

Sadly, you can’t. There are enough differences which will mess you up. The biggest is the display won’t work correctly as the A1989 has TrueTone services which the A1706 doesn’t so that kills the swap out of the display.

You can find skins to cover your system to change the color or even give it some distinction!

Are the 1706 and 1708 displays the same? if not what other displays would work?

@Michael Perkins - The 1706 (4 USB-C port) and the 1708 (2 USB-C port) systems use the same display
